The Perigi Cluster that started at Pulau Indah sees close contacts outside of it's original location. KKM escorts around 20 foreign workers from Port Klang industrial area to quarantine centres yesterday on the 18th of November.

Foreign workers residing at Jalan Beragan, Port Klang have been escorted to quarantine centres in batches by KKM as they were related to the Perigi Cluster that started at a workplace in Pulau Indah. The earliest batch was escorted on 17th of November.

According to Klang councellor Lee Fu Haw, the foreign workers' dorm are all located on the fourth floors of the buildings. And the total number of affected workers could be more than a hundred. As they often shop at businesses nearby, the people around the area are worried that it will cross infect even more residents.

A rubber factory located in the Port Klang Free Zone had previously reported 17 confirmed cases. Several workers involved resides in the area's fourth-floor dorms. And hence there may be a possibilility that cross-infection may have happened between these different batches of workers, extending the infection from West Port to Sourth Port.

After the incidence, the DAP Pandamaran team has proceeded to disinfect and sanitize the surrounding areas, which includes - Jalan Berangan, Lorong Berangan, Lebuh Berangan, Lorong Cempening and Lebuh Beringin.
