Klang's Traditional Hakka Pork Ribs Rice - Peng Heong Hakka Pai Kut

Today we're going to introduce another local favorite restaurant - Peng Heong Hakka Pai Kut! They are known to serve traditional Hakka dishes and they have been around for more than 50 years in Klang. Their signature dish is their 'Pai Kut Beng' which is pork ribs rice. Taken along with fragrant rice, the dish is succulent, sweet, and absolutely delicious. They've also expanded their menu to include other dishes such as 'taugeh' or beansprouts, curry chicken, pork tripe soup and many more.

Do you love winter solstice desserts like we do? Well we have a wonderful recommendation for you! Tong Kee Tong Yuen, located at Taman Berkeley, serves 'tang yuan' even on casual nights. 'Tangyuan' or 'tang yuan' is a Chinese dessert that is made of glutinous rice flour and rolled into a ball, and hence some people translate it to glutinous rice balls.

As the Jalan Pekan Baru cluster continues to expand, an old folks' home located at Taman Eng Ann records 27 confirmed cases, including 22 elders and 5 caretakers. As of 18 August, 15 of the elders have passed away due to the virus.
